Location: Nashville, TN-based, but able to travel across Tennessee.


Description: Nobody Trashes Tennessee (NTT) is a litter-prevention campaign growing quickly throughout the volunteer state. In its second year, the campaign is launching a new youth outreach program for middle school students. We are looking for candidates to be “Tri-Star Rangers” who will be the face of the NTT youth campaign.


Tri-Star Rangers will accompany a large NTT mascot at youth outreach events, both in middle schools and at local outreach events. This performance opportunity consists of a 4-day pilot program in the Nashville area (within 1 hour drive) on March 6th – 9th 2018. A longer 7-10 day tour is tentatively planned for May 2018. Please see below for all required dates.


This is a team role, and 1-3 additional Tri-Star Rangers will join you at all events. Tri-Star Rangers are similar to a park ranger, complete with a khaki uniform. You will speak for the NTT mascot, distribute NTT giveaway items, and encourage youth that “Nobody Trashes Tennessee.”


Expect to:

  • •Be enthusiastic about the NTT mascot, Tennessee’s culture, and litter prevention throughout the state
  • •Be part of a Tri-Star Rangers team at events
  • •Memorize talking points about litter-prevention in Tennessee
  • •Protect and guide the NTT mascot during outreach events
  • •Help the NTT mascot with his/her costume
  • •Act professionally and deliver information to middle school students, families, and the general public


Outreach Events include:

  • •Giving 8-10 minute presentations within middle school classrooms
  • •Setting up and running 30-40 minute events in middle school gym classes
  • •Setting up a photo booth in local movie theaters for 4-6 hour photo booth sessions with the NTT mascot


Pay Rate: Depending on your experience, this position ranges from $150/day-$225/day


Required Qualifications:

  • •Experience working with middle school students and/or performing for youth
  • •Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • •Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • •Must pass a background check
  • •Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license
  • •Must have a source of reliable transportation (public transit is not an option)

  • Interview Option 2: Wednesday, February 21th; 10:00AM – 2:00PM; or 5:00 – 7:30PM
  • Interview Option 3: Thursday, February 22nd; 10:00AM – 2:00PM


Pilot Tour: You must be available for all of the following dates. These events will take place within a 1-hour drive of Nashville. You will not be working during the entire range of times below, but plan on 10-12 hours per day. Ample breaks, lunch and dinner breaks will be provided. Exact times & locations TBA.
